I shorted the positive on the alternator to the ground while I was working on a 98 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3 liter. After that, the van just clicked once when trying to turn the key to start it. I checked the fuses in the power distribution module and under the drivers side dash. I also have a running 97 Plymouth Voyager, so I figured the computers should be the same. I switched both the smaller computer on the passenger side inner fender, as well as the larger computer on the drivers side next to the power distribution center. Still nothing. Some people said it might be the ecu, but it seems like that's not the issue. I have also tried to see if the fusible link between the positive on the alternator and the positive battery terminal was good by checking continuity, and it seems to be alright. I don't know what else to check, someone please help! I'll pay for the right answer!
