98 Dodge Dakota stalling....what's wrong w/ it?

My 98 Dakota will start up fine (well sometimes it takes a little more effort than usual) but once I put it in gear it dies on me. I've got a new battery and a buddy checked the fuel pump and it seems okay. Anyone know what else I can check before I go through the hassle of relocating it to a shop?

stalling problems are usually tune up related ,have you ever changed the plugs in it or did a good tune up on it,if not that might help it to stop stalling out on you,you can also check the iac valve and see if its clogged up,id also have the computer scanned on it to see if it will give you a trouble code to work with, this might help solve your problem, good luck.
