We just put a rebuilt transmission in a 98 Dodge Dakota SLT, 4x2, also replaced was exhaust brake lines, battery and fluids.
Runs better, sounds better, than it did before the transmission went. Transmission expert rebuilt the tranny, my husband mechanic put it in. Along with all the other things in the truck.
However, test driving it the check engine light came on, runs as if it has little power, no acceleration over 30 mph. Also has signs of a vaccum leak. We are getting it coded tomorrow.
So, Im checking to see what people think it may be.
