98 Dodge Avenger wont start but has power?

When the engine is cold the car would start but when i drove it it would start to stall out but as soon as the engine got hot it would be ok. Now the car wont start but It has power

The check engine light is on too and i got that checked out to find out its a cylinder misfire.

My brother thinks it might be the distributer cap thats causing most of these problems but we still arn't sure. Any help or advice would be appreciated
 
great now even yahoo answers gets spam. any way when was the last time you had a tune up? if its misfiring that's more then likely why, change the plugs wires cap air filter and fuel filter and you should be good to go
 
I would check the distributor and also the crank engine sensor that might be a cause also. you dont have any check engine lights?
