That injection system is famous for leaking down after about 100,000mi.
What happens is when you shut it off and it sits over time the injectors leak down. The fuel leaks into the intake causing a flood like condition and the fuel system loses pressure making starting take even longer.
The reason it starts when you open the throttle is you are adding air to compensate for the extra fuel, or clearing the flood.
Unfortunantly the injector assembly is serviced as one piece. We call it the spider. You'll understand why when you see it. You have to remove the upper intake to replace it. If you have it done professionally expect to spend $750.00 or more.
Best of luck!
