i was plowing and the driver side rear wheel all of a sudden locked up and wouldnt move at all? any ideas what happened?

Calliper seized up, release it. Take the wheel off, open the lid of the brake oil container, push-in an ordinary screwdriver between calliper and the brake disc with force, hopefully it will become loose. If it does not work, then you have to take out the brake discs only then you will know if the calliper needs replacement.

Well I would say to see if the brake drum will come off. Your brakes may have locked up due to excessive use. When was the last time the brakes have been serviced or replaced? Springs that help to release brake shoes may have broke and are not allowing the release. Plowing is tough on a truck no matter how careful you are!

i am thinking the rear end gear broke and got a piece stuck in it. take the bolts off the rear end housing (they call in the pumpkin) and see what is gong on in there. more than likely you will be able to see the trouble.
