Okay, on the highway 12 am , outskirts of baltimore city (just to set scene)

Full acceleration
RPM's around 5-7 k
Speed increasing from 70 mph up to 90 mph max

bam.....start losing power with petal still in

i could press petal and increase RPM's (i think they were increasing) but engine wasn't "catching"

service engine starts to BLINK

service engine stays ON no blink
starts smelling like a burn

take first exit, steering locks up, now power...park in a parking lot for an auto shop

realized the auto shop was shut down not too long ago.....damn recession

anyway....two guys come rolling up....i had a tire iron in hand and my buddy had a 9 iron.....you never know ...

one just happen to be mechanics, and the other knows a lot also

they try starting it, no go

check engine, they said sparks good, fuel good

anyway they smell the interior and says its a blown fuse

they both seemed confident it was a blown fuse

one mentioned a PCM (?) fuse

unable to access fuse box without removing glove compartment

any ideas on what i should do...i dont want to pay for a tow and some jackass mechanic to put in a 5 dollar fuse

or is it something bigger?
