I am looking to purchase a used Jeep. its nice cosmetically. But i want to know about this engine. one of my friends said he herd this engine is crap. it has 80,000 miles on it. pretty low for a 97. but i don't want any problems soon after i get it. i will be sure to check it for leaks and sludge under the cap and all that but how dependable is this engine? i know the 4.0L are strong. this thing look like a 4.0 thats been cut in half. so i would expect the same quality out of it. anyways. Good engine or Bad engine?
