97 Honda civic trunk shock convert.?

May sound weird but i have a 97 Honda civic DX and removed the two main bars but i want to add gas or something near it shocks in replace. would anyone know what size or Weight i would need to buy? thanks

Fabricating the rest i can do just want to do it right the first time with the right shocks.
