97 dodge ram Radiator fan has a wobble....?

my radiator fan is wobbleing obviously when its on....i dont think it has anything to do with the clutch, but where the belt runs along the fan, it wobbles back and forth causing damage to the belt and eventually tearing the belt....what could this be? does the fan always have a natural wobble and the tensioner could be causing this? please help me out with this!!
 
a bent shaft or worn out water pump is likely the problem. take your serp belt off and spin it and also check your tensioner while the belts off
 
most likely a bearing is failing on whatever the belt is turning, usually that is water pump on that vehicle but some have fan on an idler pulley, either way whatever the pulley is driving needs to be replaced
