i found out that there is a stud broken off my wheel when i noticed a lug nut cover was loose, can i replace myself (no tools) and how do i get the broken stud off the wheel?

depending on where its on the front or the rear the procedure is about the same, you have to remove the front rotor and knock the wheel stud out, then you,ll need to use an old lug not to pull the new one back in place with, but you wont be doing this job without any tools, good luck

Go to your local auto supply and buy a new stud and nut. You will need tools. You can remove the drum, or rotor depending on which axle the stud is broken, and drive out he old stud with a hammer. Insert the new stud from the back and put a washer between the hub/axle and oil it liberally. Screw the nut down on it until it pulls the stud all the way in. Replace the rotor/drum and you're done.
