Temperature is 97.5- normal?
I've felt not too well for the past few days. I've felt like I've been having a fever, but my temperature just read 97.5. I feel a little nauseated, and the left side of my throat looks almost like it lacks color. If this doesn't clear up soon, I am going to the doctor. What do you think about this low temperature, though??

My temp goes down sometimes when I'm sick. My doctors are never too concerned, but it is a sign for me that something is off.

Really? That's interesting. My temperature usually runs 98.6 or above. This is just why I am concerned, besides the fact that I'm not feeling too great.

No, I'm not pregnant. I asked people around me today, and they have all been having low grade fevers, so I suppose that I just might have caught something.

my normal is 97.6.

You should take a morning temp, during the day and at bedtime...you will see how much your temp actually fluctuates during the day.

If you're female, your temp will go steadily up before your period, spike the day before and after period, it'll decline to "normal".

I definitely have a slight fever at 98.6...

You should get your iron levels, B12 and Vitamin D checked regardless.
Could you possibly be pregnant?

Keep us posted.

A lower temp can also be a sign of an infection just like a higher one. I'd go see your doctor.

Low grade fever would still be elevated, not lower than the "norm" range.

If it's off for you, see your doc...but document your temp throughout the day for at least 4 or 5 days.

People body temps are different and 98.6 is an average. I'm 58 and my temp has always been lower betwwen 96 and 97 so if my temp is over 98, then I have a fever. The best way to find out your normal temp is take it 3 times a day and then average it over a week or so.

I hope this helps. :)
