96 Pontiac Grand Am how to get the trunk open?

there is a trunk release button one of 3 places on that car - I dont remember which it is in :

inside the glovebox
inside the center console
or on the floor on the drivers side, it might even be drivers side on the dash.

Anyways there is always some sort of trunk release on these newer cars, and yes there is one there.

Otherwise you'll need to remove the rear seat and access the safty trunk release cord, that will open the trunk lid also!
 
My ex boyfriend has a 96 Pontiac Grand Am. which he supposedly lost the keys too. well my system is in his trunk and he says he cant get his trunk open. He said he broke into his ignition and started his car that way but still cant get into his trunk. how is it possible for him to do that?
