When i bought the car, the guy told me it needed an intake gasket because the car would skip if I sat at 1500 RPMs. So i got used to it, and have yet to change the intake gasket after a cold cold winter. The car sat for about a week and a half because i needed to get new tires. Now, when i drive it, it doesn't want to go anywhere, it just sputters and sputters. I can slam on the gas and it just gets louder and hardly accelerates and continues to sputter. But, sometimes it kicks out of the sputter for a couple seconds and drives normal. What could this be? Intake gasket?
