My 96 Honda Accord 4cyl automatic F22 B2 won't start. Battery is good at 12.5 volts, cables are clean. Alternator belts and in-line fuse are good and no fuses in the fuse box are blown. When the key is turned the solenoid clicks away and all the lights and accessories work without dimming. I removed the starter motor and took it to AutoZone for testing, they said it passed, the current and voltage were good. I am convinced it is the starter though! My wife drives it and said for about the last two weeks it was taking longer and longer for the car to start and the fact that the solenoid is firing with no action coming from the starter motor makes me think it has gone out. Even if the starter works on the work bench does'nt mean it will work in the car right? It is also a remanufactured starter. I need the car running by tomorrow so I plan on paying the $120 for a new starter and putting it in. Is this the best Idea? Any other suggestions or do you think I am correct?
