96 HONDA ACCORD TRANY PROBLEM?

can i take out the casing from my 96 accord automatic i need to take it out so i can take it to the shop to get weld there's a small crack the shop wants 150 just to take it out and 30 to weld it that y i said ill just try tro take it out my self and take it my to get it weld well if any one knows how please let me know ASAP thanks
 
well most likely it is a front wheel drive car and it will be more difficult to take out than a rear wheel drive. you will need to pull the motor mostlike ly so you can get to it if you have the time to do it you can i would say take to a shop or get a good friend to help one that knows about how to work on cars
