96 gm sonoma with brake and power problems?

It is most definitely a broken or disconnected vacuum hose between the brake booster (located at the master cylinder) and the intake manifold. This hose is about 5/8" diameter. Look for a broken hose or broken connector at the booster or manifold.

i have a 96 gm sonoma v6 that all of a sudden has lost braking power and engine power in the lower rpms. when i press the brake hard there is a hissing sound and the engine seems to almost stall. is there anything that i can do to fix this? is it a vacuum problem? also the engine will attempt to stall when i start from a stopped position and has stalled a couple times
