96 Ford Taurus makes a horrible sound when you first start out after sitting a while.?

The front end is extremely loud and rattles as if pieces are falling off of the car while driving. It only lasts for about 5 minutes and then it drives like nothing is wrong with it. it has stopped it will make the noise (much quieter) when initially accelerating or braking (i.e. at stoplights) but only intermittently

Could be waterpump, Also a belt tensioner gone bad. Best thing to do is get it into a mechanic.
