When I started my explorer it idled really low and would die if I didn't keep my foot on the accelerator. My BF a mechanic figured it was not the EGR valve and plugged in a scan tool but it didn't have any codes. Could it be the computer? After keeping it running for 20-30 minutes it "snapped" out of it by itself so he was unable to verify any sensor malfunctions, and no trouble codes were present. This has happened twice now. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?
I had been driving my car for awhile(it ran fine) then it sat for about 45 minutes and when I started it, it did this
