when i bought this 95 wrangler they had a 2 inch body lift on it and i took that out and now the steering linkage is rubbing is there something else i should have to take off?

i never liked the body lift for this reason.ive heard stories of a jeep crashing and the body came clean off the frame.if you are rubbing in the steering linkage it might be a good idea to find where the point of friction is be fore you bind up your steering and crash

well, hard to say w/o looking but sounds like the previous owner put a dropped pitman arm on the jeep to correct the steering geometry problem that is associated with lifting whether a body lift or a spring lift. this is what a dropped pitman looks like:

a stock pitman arm will not have the downward curve to it. it will be a more or less straight piece.
