hello i have a 95 jeep gc with like 211k it has the 4.0 and it is making a tick which i believe to be lifters i looked in a repair guide and discovered all i need to do is remove valve cover, the rocker arm bridge, and pushrods and i can pull the lifters out would this be all i need to do to replace them it does not say i need to remove the head/exhaust manifold does anyone else who has this jeep just let it go and drive it the way it is? is this a common issue with the 4.0s i know with the mileage it would be common on any engine but if i leave it alone would i be ok? help please

is there a way to know for sure it will need lifters? as i said i believe it is them it make the tick at idle but if i increase the rpms it goes away
