95 Honda Nighthawk 750 start button issue?

I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to make the start button retract automatically, it has been sticking a bit and I have to manually retract it. The bike runs fine when I retract it manually, but I haven't been riding it much since the issue has begun. Any suggestions? If releasing the button manually works, is there any reason to worry? Thanks
Thanks for the idea, I appreciate it.
 
Remove switch and spray liberally with electronics contact cleaner. Then up some silicon dielectric grease. This may free it up. I have done this with light switches.
