Very Hot Day, the Escort ran really hot because I had the AC on and was in some slow traffic. It did NOT go into the red on the gauge, but got hot. It was running fine, though. Then, I stopped the car. When I restarted it 5 min. later, it did not run smoothly - like it was on 3 of the 4 cylinders, and the 4th was barely kicking in. Low power. Jerking, almost bucking motion, especially at lower rpms. It would all but disappear when the rpms were high (like 3OOO plus).
Vapor lock?? After sitting for 4 hours, it restarted fine, but the symptoms did not go away. THOUGHTS??
