I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina LS 3.1L v6. It has a problem in the fuel system (that's an educated guess) but no mechanic I've had look at it can locate the problem (it's been at least 4 mechanics now) and I've had this problem for probably 2 years. I'll drive the car but when I turn it off, it won't start without stalling out for at least an hour. This is very inconvenient considering that I have to plan my day to go somewhere for at least an hour and sometimes an hour is not enough. It could be something overheating considering that it doesn't do this in the winter. sometimes I can keep it started if I drive it and feather the gas then floor it and then feather it and then floor it till it actually gets moving. I can floor it and hold it while it is attempting to stay started but the engine will not rev. The rpm's go up and down from about 500 to 1500 then it eventually just dies out and won't even stay somewhat started next time you try to start it until you wait for an hour. Any ideas of what this could be? I'll add info if you have a question.
Changed fuel filter. Checked fuel pressure up to a point before the injectors and changed spark plugs. Possibly the tps?
