9421 tv guide pops up

I got a 9421 installed the other day and had a quick question. When iam watching a channel and it happens on all channels, all of a sudden the guide will pop up. I hit select and then it goes away. After about a hour it happens again and then the guide scolls and the aspect ratio changes. I wonder if I hit the wrong button somewhere the other day thanks
 
You probably have IR interference. Do you have an LCD TV? Please see the following thread on the topic.

i would also just change the Remote Address incase there is some stray IR signal affecting the receiver.
 
That is one of the suggestions in the link, but these sorts of things are oft worth repeating.
 
I had a similar problem when I had my 9241 installed a few weeks ago. For about 5 days after it would change channels, rewind and the guide would pop-up. I was hours away from changing the remote address when it stopped happening. Hasn't happened since. I just assumed one of my neighbours changed their address before I did.
 
Thanks for the replies guys, that's what I did I changed the remote address and haven't had a problem since that's again
 
Glad to hear you resolved the issue.

However, it's worth noting for future reference that while the 9241 does indeed support IR, the remote communicates with the main unit by UHF radio signals.
