94 toyota corolla won't take the throttle !?

Went to change the valve stem seals and the head gasket and put the car back together but now the car won't take the throttle... any ideas would be much appreciated... Thanks in advance !
I didn't have to take off the throttle, throttle was fine till the other parts wer fixed...
When i put my foot on the throttle it won't go properly.

What do you mean by 'won't take the throttle'?

Recheck the valve timing & clearances. Remove plugs, clean & replace to make sure they aren't covered in oil from the rebuild.
