i bought this car a few years ago and it's been surprise after surprise for me. all the so called. "aftermarket" parts are starting to fail one by one. first was all the suspension bushings. then the thermostat. now im leaking oil from the bottom of the head to the left of the exhaust manifold. my actual question is i have been told that i have a 1.6 head on a 1.5 block. do i have to buy aftermarket gaskets and bolts if i wanted to replace the head-gasket. i have never done a head-gasket by myself but ive helped on about 10 of them on mainly Chevy's. i understand the aspect of everything has to be in perfect specifications so i bought 2 torque wrenches. foot lbs and inch lbs. and i own both haynes and chilton books. i read and compare them religiously. my friend will let me bring my car to his shop so i can use all the tools there. but i don't want to pull my engine apart to find out i don't have the right parts. he only has one bay in the shop and ill only have 12 hours to do it.
