93 Toyota corolla 1.8 liter engine, The same as 96 Geo Prism 1.8 liter?

I want to pull the engine out of the 93 corrolla and put it in the 96 Geo but am unsure if the corrolla engine has the hole to put the crank sensor in and any other differences. It is important that all emmission devices be working as I live in ca. and have to pass smog.
 
not sure GM and toyota have done several joint projects throughout the past so it may be, even if they arent the same you may be able to get adaptor kits that allow you to use it. i would say its not worth the trouble tho. it may be time to let the geo go
