My Mazda protege has a tick tick tick noise coming from the engine. It has an automatic transmission with a double overhead cam. It started making this noise after I was taking a long trip and my oil got really low. It seems like it only makes the noise when my car is at idle. Any suggestions? A napa mechanic said something about a valve, but he wasn't sure since he doesn't work on Mazda
