my uncles 93 town car snapped the belt so he moved the car up to a flat level spot to work on it and the battery died in the process since the alt wasn't being used due to the belt. after the belt was fixed the battery was replaced and the car cranked slowly. i pulled the starter and had it tested at advance auto parts. 2 seconds after they tried to test it the two big posts on the solenoid started to arc and started glowing red. we got a new starter and put it in and still the same problem. slow cranking. we then hooked up some jumper cables to the car and let the other vehicle run for a bit to give it a charge but no change. i'm wondering if maybe due to the starter arcing like it did might have caused some computer issues. any insight on this would be great.
