I recently ran out of gas in my explorer and it has since been making this hissing sound under the hood and cutting off when at a stop. It will always start back up easily though. I thought it could be the fuel pump that sucked up some trash from the tank and is blocking it in some way, but not sure. the hissing sound seems to be coming from the top of the engine. what should i do to fix this. before i ran out of gas the vehicle was running perfectly, other than a slight radiator leak that was not anything serious (i always kept fluid in it). Please help, but i'm only interrested in answers from mechanics or people who have delt with the same or similar problems, no guessing please. thanks
