I am (about) to be new to BEV and I have been told by the BEV rep that I only need to use one of the two sat inputs on the 9220 if I do not subscribe to any specialty channels listed here: http://www.bell.ca/shopping/portlets/personal/television/AIO/solution_advisor/popups/moviesDetail.jsp

Or any of the specialty language channels.

Can someone confirm this is true. I get the distinct impression that the reps at BEV are trained at the same level as the Rogers ones... Which is a tad frightening.

Horse feathers (and total BS too.)

You will need two dual LNBs connected to a SW44 and two RG6s from the SW44 to the 9200. The installer will know how to do this. The installation should also be at no charge.

It is possible he was referring to the fact that only one LNB will be supplied if you do not sub to services on the 82 satellite. Subscribing to HD will take care of that since they are also on the 82 satellite.

Bah. I figured as much. I couldn't find good information on sat 82 vs 91 anyway. The problem being that I have no resonable method for running another cable though the walls to the 9220 location...

Crap. Yeah I know I can place a combiner and a seperator, but that's just more equipment to convince my wife I need. :-)

Thanks again. Good to know tech support training is the same quality everywhere.

I bought my DishPro Plus Twin for US $15 on ebay and the seperator for US $4. With shipping the total came to $35 Cdn. Not too bad.
