My honda prelude has been acting funny lately when it comes to shifting.
It had been driving and shifting just fine but one morning i got ready to go to work and my
car would not go into any gear not 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th or reverse. I tried pushing it into first wit all my
strength but still had no luck. I noticed that when I pushed it as far as it could go into 1st gear the car sort of rolled forward but it wasnt all the way in gear. I tried pushing it into other gears and it made a grinding sound. I kept turning the car off and on and eventually the car went into first. Shifting was a little rough at first when driving but became smoothe. I parked it went to work and it did the same thing and would not go into any gear. I turned the car off and on repeatedly and finally go it into gear. Again, shifting was rough at first but became smoothe. What could be the problem???
and by the way...the car goes into every gear fine when the car is off. it wont start if i put it into
first gear while off and try starting it tho or sometimes it turns on but stalls immediatly.
