I have a 92 Ford Escort LX sedan with the 1.9 engine and the 4 speed automatic transmission. When my car is cold the transmission goes in reverse fine, but when it warms up I have no reverse. It's almost like having the transmission in neutral, it just revs. It shifts fine in all other gears. What could the problem be? Also sometimes when driving the check engine light comes on, then goes back out. I will kill anyone who asks me if I checked the fluid level! That is the first thing I checked, and the level was full. Would appreciate any help with this matter.
