Hit some white caps when it happend. Engine runs strong,,,prop not turn as fast as it should. example,,2 speed power glide,,high rpms,,,but not going into 2nd.
Any thoughts.
Yes check the prop hub, its the rubber fitting inside the prop, it fits between the output shaft in the lower unit and prop and works like a sock absorber when you go in and out of gears. even if it looks good, under a load it most likely breaks loos. This is what is suppose to do on impact. It is EZ to replace your self with a kit from West Marine boat stores ( I work there part time for fun ) Or call them and ask for there west adviser.
