I have a old little honda that will start up fine but once it gets hot (operating temp) it wont run. I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running and still it makes a winding noise and will die as soon as I let go of the gas. There seems to be quite a bit of oil leaking around the valve cover. It did get hot on me not so long ago I just cant figure it out. Cant drive anymore since it will only run til it gets warm. Any help appreciated.
thanks everyone.

I have been a mechanic for many years. I can tell you what you are describing will be a hard question for anyone to answer with out putting it on some test equipment. I am going to give you some things to test and see if it helps. First, I need to know what year it is. Is it fuel injected? is it carburated ? If it is carburated it sounds like it could be your choke not disabling after the car warms up. Causing it to put to much fuel in the carburetor. It could be a catalytic converter malfunctioning. The issues could be a number of things. I would first address the carburetor. make sure the choke is working properly. If you don't know how to do it then you need to re-post the question letting us know the year and model of the Honda. That might help us answer the question a little better. Good luck
