'91 Honda Civic LX (sedan) racing engine?

I have a four-door '91 Honda Civic LX that I want to make go really fast. Thing is, the current engine in this car is a 1.5. So, obviously I need a new, more powerful one. Any ideas on what I should be looking for, and what prices are ahead of me? Links and details would be really helpful as I am relatively
new to this. Thanks!
By the way it's an automatic transmission.
 
damn, your lucky i found this.... first of alll depends how much dough you got... and the cheapest upgrade you could do that would make it worth while would be a civic b16 (99-00 civic si).you would feel a big diffrence......if you have lots of dough you can go k20s..(rsx type s motor). that would give you 200 horse power stock with no up grades...its a four door so its kinda heavy,,, your gonna want to go with a motor that has torque and horse power.. i would recommend a ls vtec..or a b20 vtec..b20 vtec is the 97-00 honda crv block with a b series head...like the b16 gsr or type r.or like i said if you have money... go k20 expensive but worth it.
