Hello all, I have a 91 Chevy Camaro 305 which is dying when we drop it into gear from either neutral or park. We have checked the timing and found it to be within spec and have changed the throttle positioning sensor, both potential remedies have failed. Advice anyone? Thanks.

william it may be the trans. some electronic automatics can act up and the electronics shut down the motor. now here are other points to consider.
if the stall is a lumbering slower stall and a lot of noice maybe even a slight back fire effect in the throttle body check for vacuum leak in the manifold etc
if the stalling is imediate as if the key were shut off a neutral safety switch may be the issue

Check the advanced timing . Or the timing with the advance vacuum off. Check the air filter and IAC. That it is clean. IAC is the Idle air control valve. it is located right underneath the air cleaner connected on the opening.
