Possibilities......
Incorrect flywheel/flex plate.
Damaged crank sensor during removal/installation.
Out of gas? (no I don't think you're stupid but I've done it myself on test drives. You wouldn't believe how many people will bring a car to the shop for a driveability concern with no damn fuel in it)
