starts, what's wrong? we unpluged the #2 plug wire and turned the key and it started, sometimes it cuts off and starts right back up other times you have to sit for 30 mins or so to get it to start, we changed the relays behind the glove box and they were burnt, could it be the coil pack going bad or something else we arent thinking about? Sometimes when driving it bucks like it is cutting itself off, someone mentioned that the ignition switch could be going bad also because we have noticed that it wont allow us to start the car in neutral, any help is appreciated, when we unplug the wire sometimes it is not getting any fire, like when you hold it to the engine block and then this time we did that and it started right up, the check engine light has been coming on and off for months now and when it cuts off and wont start the light is on and when it finally restarts it goes off sometimes, we have checked the relays under the hood on the fire wall and the ones behind the glove box, when the car bucks is when the check engine light comes on, could we be missing relays somewhere else? we have checked all fuses in both boxes and they are all good, the check engine light also comes on and off when the car is running just fine, what we do know is that when the car wont start it is getting no fire because yesterday my husband held the plug wire to his finger and it was getting no spark at all, we took the relays out and cleaned them, 30 mins later, and it started right up

The ignition coil could be heating up and internally shorting out so make up a diagram of the spark-plug wires going to it and then unbolt it , check it's housing for any cracks or bulges or dis-colouring.Check the wire plug in connector and connections on the ignition coil , plus check the connectors for the spark-plug wires on the ignition coil for rust or corrosion and clean them with sandpaper or a small wire brush.I'd check the vehicle for any codes and the owners manual should tell you how to do this manually.
Merry Xmas!

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way the main comp=ECM could be internally acting up and both the ignition coil and ECM would be cheap to pick up at a do it yourself auto wreckers.Just be sure you remove them from a vehicle that has the same engine and same transmission plus same features that your vehicle has.
