BAGHDAD: A coordinated string of bombings followed by an assault on the justice ministry in central Baghdad killed at least nine people on Thursday, security and medical officials said.
Three explosions hit Allawi neighbourhood at about 1:30 pm (1030 GMT), while militants assaulted the nearby justice ministry, Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service spokesman Sabah Noori told AFP, adding the attacks were coordinated.
At least nine people were killed and 25 wounded, an interior ministry official and a medical source said.
