My 89 cherokee, 4.0 automatic, starts to shake violently when I ease off the gas and the rpms drop to 2000 and will stay this way unless I really hammer down on the gas but will do it again if I take my foot off the gas again. It happens any time after 15 mph, before that its fine. My buddys and I replaced the tranny thinking this might be it but wasnt. We also replaced the distributor, cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires, tried all sensors off of working same year cherokees, fuel pump and filter and just about anything else you can think of. Any advise short of driving it off a cliff would help.
