Hey i need some advice. I'm possibly going to trade my 2001 Tundra Truck for this 2005 Mustang V6

My truck is at 150K, but for a tundra it still has a good life span. And especially if you take care of it.

I want to know (from you guys who know mustangs) if the mustang will still be good for awhile. since it has 87,xxx on it. Will it need some replacement in like 10,000 miles. or will it be good?

Of course, i'm gonna get an inspection. But my mechanic can't tell me when something is gonna go wrong.

Any one have advice. On if i should trade or not. just the fact of the miles is why i'm curious.

HELP!
BTW some info to keep in mind is that. i've had this truck for about 8-9 monthes and I'M SICK of paying for it's gas. it's a 2001 Toyota Tundra V8 and it gets 11-12 on the street.

The mustang will save me a little money and then more money to put into it.

But if it's a few mechanical things here and there on the mustang later on. Then that doesn't bother me.

I'm worried about Tranny or some BIG replacement of to fix

87k miles is high for a mustang. average mileage per year is 12,000 roughly so 12,000 times 4 years old is 48000. However, high mileage cars can sometimes get you a cheaper deal up front. I'm not a mechanic, but you will experience things wearing out earlier because of the high mileage. I would not trade in your truck for the mustang. Your mechanic can find some stuff that will need immediate replacement, but not things that will need replacement in a few months. Depending on the mustang's service history and how well it was taken care of, it could have something wear out at about 100,000 miles. When my car was at about the 110,000 to 120,000 mile mark I had to have brake work done, but my car wasn't a mustang. I'm not saying anything will or will not go wrong because I can not predict the future. I would say to keep your truck if it has been good as far as maintenance and if you like it. But it's up to you if you keep your truck or not. It depends on how bad you want a mustang.
