I was driving my ranger running on the back tank (because the gauge doesn't work on that one) and ran it dry but when i switched to the front tank, the gauge wasn't working on it (although it did before) and my pickup died. When i put 2 gallons in the rear tank, the fuel pump didn't make the sound it usually does when i turn the key to on and my truck would start for a few seconds then cut out like there was no gas...i was wondering if this is a electrical problem with a fuse or relay..
