850 Gsm

Just wondering if anyone could help me determine how useful it would be to have a 850 capable tri-band phone. I am trying to narrow down the selection of phones I am considering and it seems that I will have to choose between having a triband with 850 OR one with WiFi (nokia 9300, 9300i, 9500)
I would mostly be using the phone in Washington DC, NY City though I travel occasionally to other areas of the country on occasion.

Any thoughts? Would having WiFi or 850 be more useful?

Travel by road? 850 a must for being in rural areas.
Travel by plane? Get the wifi. Its everywhere in cities.

Wanna do both? Get the Nokia E61

Bandwidth is carrier dependent. Here is U.S. T-Mobile uses 1900MHz and Cingular/ATT uses 850MHz in rural and 1900MHz in large cities. WirelessRush

In most large cities Cingular uses 850 AND 1900, the blue and orange networks overlap alot
