my mr2 just recently started making a pinging sound and only does it when your giving it gas driving or while parked giving it gas, the car also idles really rough and it putters like a motocycle. you can littery see the breaks in the exhaust coming out at idle. im not sure what it could be. i just gave it new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and i took it all off again and checked gap and tightness on plugs, and tightness on the cap,wires are good. and still the same thing.
