I live in California, how can I avoid paying $1600 in fee's to bring this truck current. The truck was broken down when I bought, it sat for all these years and is now almost fixed. However with the above mentioned price, I can't even give the truck away! I have considered giving it to a junkyard. I would like to keep it and sell it once it is ready to go but to have to pay these fee's isn't really worth it to me. Is there any loopholes in the registration process that would allow for a significant price drop or to be able to wipe the record clean. Thanks
