83 mazda rx7 gsl automatic - sat for 15 years too low compression to start. apex seals?

i recentlt bought an 83 mazda rx-7 gsl automatic, the only auto ive ever seen, for $300. it sat for 15 years and has too low compression to start. i think it's the apex seals.
