828 HD FreeView - Why am I not getting it?

OK, what's with the free preview until January 29 ?? I thought National Geo was a part of the HD line up.

Its not part of the free HD, you have to subscribe to the "more variety HD" theme.

I subsribe to the Raptors TV SD channel and also the HD pack with TSN 1 and 2 but don't get Raptors TV HD. Any ideas what gives? I would give Bell a call but I get the impression you guys will know more then their CSR's;)
 
Go online to your account on the Bell website and synchronize your programming. That might work
 
I was getting 828 before the free preview and I haven't signed up for any HD themes. I've been paying $10 for HD for the last 4 years and get whatever HD my standard definition themes correspond to.
Is this going to change for me unless I order the new HD themes?
 
828/838 for those that kept the old $10 HD package will remain .But check just make sure on Feb 1 you don't get cut by mistake. These are introductory offers to attract new customers . For once since you are old:D your OK.
 
There was no 828 (NG HD) or 838 (SHOW HD) before the free preview. That preview has been ongoing for at least a year. It is only recently that the Jan. 29 date has started to appear in the EPG. I was wondering before that when it was going to end. None of their shows hold any interest for me. I'll be glad when they disappear from my list of subscribed channels in the guide at end of this month.
 
There was even a free preview before this free preview if not mistaken it ended in DEC /28/07 and you kept the stations only if you subbed to the $10 Hd package. Anyway I spoke to Bell CSR and they confirmed this.
I called second time and they said no. (offshore)
I called a third time and they said they have not made up their mind yet.
I called a # at the ex office and I'm awaiting a yes or no.
The HD theme packages did not come out till April 08. Prior to that the $10 HD package was (from show mag :D)

I still subscribe to the associated digital channels and would want any HD upgrades as per my package. Like TLC HD
 
I for one can not say anymore about this till I speak to someone at bell that knows which just might take till Feb 1. After speaking with 5 CSR I have got 2 yes, 2 no and one we have not made up are mind yet.
Bell is by far the most unorganised company in the world, no contest. :confused:
 
When i got the HD programming 2 years ago they jipped me on the HD sports i wasn't getting rapters HD or sportsnet HD. had to call them so they could fix it. are you missing A&E HD too? cause i never had that sense the channel has been added and never had a free preview of it and im subbed to the SD channel but i am just too lazy to call and fix it
 
Samsonite I too didn't get RaptorTV HD when I got my HD programming. It took many calls until I finally got it activated. I do have the SD version.
 
I also had the same problem when I finally added the HD packages. Everything except for Raptors HD was showing up fine (and yes I do have the sports theme packs). I had to call in twice to find someone who figured out that there seems to be an extra box the CSRs have to check off so that the channel shows up like it should. This must be in place in their system so that if a subscriber takes the HD Sports 1 Theme and doesn't have the SD Sports 2 theme, the customer won't automatically get the HD version when the HD package is added. Bell could of course solve this problem by keeping the HD sports packages organized the way the SD ones are but they've got it set up to make them more money this way.

this pisses me off... So i only subscribe to TSN and RSN with the pick and pay for $5.

I hate basketball and have no need for the CW, or Rush. My only question is about TSN2... it was free with TSN, but what happens after that promo ends? Do I need to fork out $10 or $7.50 to get it?
 
i just looked on the bell website and they have TSN 1 and 2 on the same HD sports pack so if you already have TSN HD as part of the HD sports pack you have nothing to worry about but if its part of your pick and pay plan then you may have to add it to your plan to get it after the promo ends

oh and when i say pick and pay that is if you were able to pick your HD channel individually instead of picking the theme packs
