Hello All-Knowing-Ones
So, here's the scoop: approx. 9 months ago I have flashed an 804SS to become an SGH-Z540. The user interface is very responsive and I like it a lot. I can use the phone to initiate and receive calls, and send and receive sms's. So far so good.
HOWEVER:
After the flashing procedure (with a kit sold by a person/company in Malta) neither Bluetooth nor--and this really sucks!!--interfacing/synching with Samsungs PC Studio will succeed. I am using the very latest version of the software. PC Studio (vers. 3.1.2 GF2) displays a message saying: "Phone not supported!", and some more bla bla.
Here are some AT return codes:
ATQ0V1E0 - OK
AT+GMM - SGH-V804
AT+FCLASS=? - +FCLASS: 0
Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CORPORATION
Model: SGH-V804
Revision: V804CHAN2
IMEI: 35832xxxxxxxxxx
+GCAP: +CGSM,+FCLASS,+DS
So, according to the return codes, the phone is still somehow an 804SS, no?
At any rate, I am clueless as to how to proceed from here and what action(s) to take to make this phone a) connect via BT and b) talk to my PC.
Anyone here who can point me in the right direction? Your help will be greatly appreciated, and your karma account will grow immensely.
